My research focuses on understanding the affordances of the arts in teaching and learning and exploring what happens when individuals encounter and undergo an aesthetic experience. I’m especially struck by the idea of process-driven art, which is a mindset and a framework that prioritizes exploration, imagination, and reflection over final products. At its core, I’m exploring the ways in which process-driven art facilitates transformative learning, personal growth, and social change, encouraging individuals to think more deeply about themselves and the world around them. Ultimately, the goal of my research is to articulate how aesthetic experiences can inspire critical reflection, challenge existing perspectives, and foster a correspondence with one another.
